Claudia Ramirez has exclusively practiced criminal law since obtaining her Juris Doctorate from Arizona State University (ASU). While in law school, she interned for the City of Phoenix Public Defender’s office where she helped prepare trials for DUI and domestic violence cases. After her externship Claudia continued to clerk for a defense attorney and helped many indigent defendants.
In practice, she represents clients charged with major felonies as well as misdemeanors, including homicide in the first-degree, second-degree murder, manslaughter, negligent homicide, and sex crimes such as sexual conduct with minors, child pornography, solicitation, trafficking, and cases involving guns, shootings, aggravated assaults, gun trafficking, etc. Claudia has also mastered DUIs, domestic violence cases, and works with clients who may be also facing immigration consequences from their criminal matters.
Her clients enjoy the insight and guidance she draws from her wealth of knowledge and experience. She uses that experience combined with her tenacity and persistence to put her clients and their cases in the best position for success. She utilizes every conceivable resource at her disposal to reach a resolution like working alongside experts and investigators or composing well-researched legal and factual arguments.
She is an Arizona native through and through, obtaining a Bachelor of of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Spanish from ASU alongside her J.D. Her being fluent in Spanish helps for easy and direct communication with Spanish-speaking clients. Claudia is an attorney who her colleagues respect and clients greatly appreciate. When she is not working, Claudia enjoys traveling internationally, experiencing new foods and cultures.
